John Jackman (Director, Screenwriter, "Stanley Baldwin") is an award-winning filmmaker who has been involved in video production since the mid-seventies, and was one of the early adopters of digital video.
He is the author of Lighting for Digital Video and Television (2002, CMP Books) now in its second edition, and is a contributing editor to DV Magazine. He is currently working on a new book, Digital Compositing & Special Effects, which will be released at NAB 2006.
Jackman has taught professional workshops on digital production and lighting for the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), the American Film Institute (AFI), DV Expo , the Library of Congress, as well as film festivals, film schools, college, and university programs. His workshops are consistently among the highest rated by attendees at the DV Expo.
